Dr. Elaine Pagels is one of many who worked on translating a cache of codices found near Jabal al-Tarif, a section of cliff on the right bank marking the limit of the Nile valley and the arable land between Chenobskeia and Pabau. The fruit of that effort is recorded in a volume entitled:
